Lennon is a young dynamic woman with plenty to say. She is also a complete artist with a gift - an outlet now been heard.

Her music and sound is personal and her delivery passionate and dramatic. A story-teller with conviction, Lennon brings an aural, wall to wall reality to life. She is really not afraid to rock either.

With the release of "Damaged Goods", she unveils interesting vignettes of her life as she tries to understand her own being.

The album is collection of well-crafted songs mixed with all around "in your face" lyrics that give you a clear portrait of the artist past and present.

Her music is clever, sophisticated, sexy and most of all raw.

Here is what she had to say when I sat down to interview her.

Who is Lennon? Just Lennon? Any relations to another Lennon?
Asking who Lennon is is like asking "how many licks does it take to get to the inside of a tootsiepop". The world may never know.

Born Lennon Anne Murphy I don't think you can relate to someone by their first name, so no.

How did you get started with your music?
Studied piano, and learned how to write from watching my mom. Got pushed on stage at 15 and have been stuck here ever since. Never planned on doing this for a living.

What inspires you to do the type of music you do?
My own experiences.

What is your most important goal for 2007? In life?
To survive it.

If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would it be and why?
Kirk Douglas. I truly admire the life he's lead and would love to
just sit with him for an hour and talk.

Who are some of your influenses musically? and in life?
No real influences. I've always just done my own thing.

Why butterflies?
Why butterflies. I have no idea. That's just the concept the artist came up with after listening to the record.

If you had to live in one room for your entire life; what would it look like?
My room when i was in highschool. It was completely decorated in Disney Aladdin Memorabilia.

Damaged Goods?
What the industry considers you after you leave a major and continue to play music. Basically what i am.

Best place or venue to play music is...
Small towns always appreciate you more because they never get any bands.

In "Nothing out of me" you begin the song by saying... "If I
fucked you once would that keep you in your place" - is that for shock value or just a moment of clarity?
It was just a truthful question i needed answered.

What makes you smile?
My baby boy.

Favorite Disney character is...
Dumbo
