Orlando -- The David Rankin Band is one of the best kept secrets in the Central Florida musical landscape. They showcased their talent last month at the Hard Rock Live in Orlando.

The powerful set featured mostly original material. From the lead off "One night stand" all the way to the bouncing "Better off together", the dRb kept the crowd dancing and singing through out their set.

A very hot version of The Doors "Break on through" was sandwiched in the middle of the lineup. Perhaps it was an ode to those who came before, and respect for the music. It was also an excuse for the guys to kick in a jam.

For many artists, the live show is really where the magic happens. For both, singer- songwriter David Rankin (guitar) and bassist Jeff Coffee, this is where their chemistry gels nicely. The relationship between the audience and the band is very strong, in fact, it's incredible!

Their upbeat brand of rock is very contagious and yet personal. The songs are very well crafted lyrically and very sound musically. They show a high level of maturity and care while being playful on stage.

The band enjoys a great following of loyal fans. The numbers have been growing as the word is getting out. Girls are definitely noticing them by the hundreds each day. The truth is that this guys rock.

dRb began their career here in City Beautiful in 1999. They have played all over the Central Florida area including the aforementioned venue at the Universal Citywalk, The House of Blues and the Sapphire Supper Club.
