It's Alive! It's Alive! Audioslave comes out of the ashes to kick your Ass by: cece kegg-smith
Seattle -- They are finally here! The long awaited release from the new millennium's supergroup. The collision of two of the most important bands of the nineties have joined their collective talents to create a new band: AUDIOSLAVE.
On November 19th, Epic Records will release AUDIOSLAVE's self-titled debut album fashioning former SOUNDGARDEN lead singer/guitarist, Chris Cornell (Vocals) and the three remaining members of the very charismatic Rage Against The Machine. Tim Commerford (Bass), Tom Morello (Guitar), and Brad Wilk (Drums) joined Cornell for this project and forthcoming tour. The album was recorded in Los Angeles at Cello Studios with master producer Rick Rubin. "Cochise" is the first single from the CD. The song is just tearing it up in every way possible. You can get electrified by listening to the song on the radio or the net. "Cochise" is the name for an unconquered American Indian chief. If you have not heard it, check it out on the web. It is hot!!! So the question a year ago was: What to do when two mega-super-bands dissolve with no plans to regroup? The answer was melt them together in an orgy of sound. When Rage Against The Machine's lead-man Zack De La Rocha left the band after the MTV Awards a dilemma arose. Soundgarden's frontman Chris Cornell had parted ways from his cohorts of over 12 years. The answer was easy, the answer is AUDIOSLAVE. The band had originally planned to keep the Rage Against The Machine name, but the band eventually changed to AUDIOSLAVE, when Cornell decided that it was the right thing to do. Now all rumors can lay to rest. The hot mix of Rage's already famously hard-hitting musical jams and Cornell's wailing vocals has proven to be an explosive entity to say the least. The music is full of life and abandonment. It's punk, it's grunge, it's rap, it's AUDIOSLAVE. The proof is in the pudding and the pudding is good. Serve yourself some, AUDIOSLAVE!
