TERRORIST
WARNING: Should we be the ones giving the WARNINGS to the Terrorists?
I do believe this is a good question here. If we follow what President Bush has said to be our mantra, then we need to continue with the War Against Terror. Mr. Bush has said several times in his speeches that "you are either with us, or without us". So what is stopping the ass kicking? A few months ago, the so called experts were talking about getting into Sudan, North Korea, Indonesia, Iran or Iraq among others. What has happened since then? According to our own intelligence, none of these countries have either shown support to us or given up harboring terrorists cells. The President recently visited a few European countries. These are countries that we consider as allies. In fact, we as Americans, have bailed them out more than once in the last 100 years. So why are they so upset about us continuing our task of getting rid of the hated terrorists? Why some of their people go marching against our agenda and President? I think that perhaps the reason lies on the fact that there is no follow through within our international policy. Our domestic politics have now taken a precedent over the War Against Terror. The President now, is too preoccupied with the mid-term elections. That's no way to run a war! I hate to say this, but I am not afraid to tell you that, it looks like it will have to take another gruesome attack for Washington politicians to take notice once again. It's clear that they are right now, the members of Congress are more concerned about political gridlock than they are about our safety as a nation. This brings me to my next subject. The whole thing about terrorists warnings is getting really old, really fast. How many times is the FBI, the CIA and Tom Ridge going to cry wolf? I know that there is a cast of thousands trying to protect us from these crazy sub-humans, but giving so many warnings pretty much give the terrorists the upper hand. I think, it's totally ridiculous that we continue to live our lives in this manner. I really refuse to give in to these idiots. I believe we need to act in a proactive way in order to persevere. The question is, what to do? How about warning the countries that harbor terrorism? It's the only logical solution that I see that may work with these animals. It's obvious that they don't care about us or the loss of human life. In my book and without any shame, we should just warn them several times a week and give them a bit of their own medicine. Keep them on the run! If that doesn't work, well then we will have a very serious problem that Houston is not going to able to fix!
